      Overview

The book gives a ground-breaking narration of the stories

and the discoveries of three eminent scientists: Constantin Von

Economo, Wilder Penfield and Brenda Milner, i.e. the founders of

neuroscience, one of the most important scientific disciplines of

      the new millennium.

The authors explain how the scientists were able to make discoveries that would revolutionise science and psychology as they pioneered the exploration of the “magic box” that is the mind. The changes and innovations heralded into modern science by the theories of these three great scientists are also assessed in relation to the latest Nobel prizes for medicine, epigenetics, artificial intelligence and, finally, neurostimulator implants.
